Karsaz Tragedy: Police file new FIR against Natasha Danish, who crushed 2 to death

KARACHI: Police here has filed a new case under Hudood Law on Saturday (31st August, 2024) against Natasha Danish, who has killed two and injured three while driving a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) Toyota Land Cruiser on Karsaz Road under the influence of Ice (crystal methamphetamine).

Following confirmation by relevant authorities that Natasha Danish was driving with Ice in her system and killed 2, injured five people, Police has registered a new First Information Report (FIR) against her u/s 11 (drinking liable to tazir) of the Prohibition (Enforcement of Hadd) Order (PEHO) of 1979.

 Natasha Danish, who killed two motorcycle riders [daughter (26-year-old Aamna Arif) and her father (60-year-old Imran Arif)] on Karsaz Road here on 19th August, was sent to jail for 14 days by District East Magistrate on judicial remand on 21st August.

The court did not entertain the request of IO who sought a 7-day physical remand of Natasha Danish. A day earlier court had granted police her single-day physical remand. It may be recalled that Natasha Danish (a resident of KDA-I), failing to control the speeding SUV, rammed it on a number of motorcycles and cars.

Police and Rangers took Natasha Danish to the Bahadurabad Police Station where FIR was filed on the complaint of Imtiaz Arif (brother of killed motorcyclist). The FIR invoked PPC’s sections 320 (punishment for murder by negligent driving), 337-G (punishment for hurt by negligent driving), 279 (rash driving), and 427 (mischief causing damage).
