KCCI condoles death of S M Munir

KARACHI: The leadership of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and of other trade bodies have expressed their deep grief over death of a senior business leader S.M.Munir, who was also the Chairman of Din Group and of United Business Group in FPCCI.                              

In their joint statement, Chairman Businessmen Group in Karachi Chamber M. Zubair Motiwala, Vice Chairmen Tahir Khaliq, Haroon Farooki, Anjum Nisar and M. Jawed Bilwani, General Secretary A. Q. Khalil, President KCCI Mohammed Tariq Yousuf, Senior Vice President Touseef Ahmed and Vice President Muhammad Haris Agar stated that Late SM Muneer served the humanity as he was an active philanthropist, said KCCI release on Tuesday.                                                             

His sad demise has undoubtedly created a vacuum in business politics as he was a person who always raised a strong voice for the rights of trade and  industrial community, it said.

While extending heartfelt condolences to members of the bereaved family members, friends and well-wishers of late S. M. Munir, BMG and KCCI Leadership prayed that may Almighty Allah place the departed soul in Jannat- ul- Firdous and grant courage to all of them to bear this irreparable loss.

Chairman BMG, M. Zubair Motiwala, who recently assumed charge as CEO of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan recalled that S. M. Muneer visited TDAP office just two days ago to congratulate him.                 

“Late S. M. Munir gave valuable advises for improving exports,” he added.      

Similarly, the leaders from other trade bodies like Rice Exporters Association Pakistan, North Karachi Association of Trade and Industry, Korangi Association of Trade and Industry expressed same sentiments.
