KARACHI: A man attired in shalwar/qameez (hiding his face behind a surgical mask/later identified as Imran Afridi) shot senior lawyer Khawaja Shamsul Islam dead, as he came out of a mosque after offering namaz-e-janaza in DHA here on Friday (1st of August, 2025) and fled on a motorcycle.
Lawyer and his 25-year-old son Daniyal, who also received bullet(s), were taken to a private hospital in Clifton . But Khawaja succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
