MANHATTAN: UNSC has been asked by Pakistan to take decisive action against terrorists’ hideouts in Afghanistan.
Munir Akram, Pakistan’s permanent Envoy to UN, highlighted the threat of permitting Afghanistan-based terrorists to continue their activities in the region freely.
It is pertinent to mention here that a few days ago Taliban authorities (who had not been included in the first round and then themselves refused to join the second round of talks) are willing to be part of the third round of UN-hosted dialogue on Afghanistan in Doha (scheduled to take place from 30th June till 1st day of July, 2024).

Zabihullah Mujahid, Chief Spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, has confirmed that a delegation will express their country’s stand at Doha conference.
