Learning Journey of a Child with Down Syndrome

KARACHI: Alliance Française (French Cultural Center) here was the venue where ‘Alishba’s Global Model of Learning Transition: A Guide towards understanding learning journey of Down Syndrome’ was launched by her parents Dr. Iffet Sultana and Syed Amin-Ud-Din.

This global model offers a vigorous and consistent reflection on the 20 years of successful journey of parents and a child with Down Syndrome towards acceptance, awareness and empowerment.

This model can be adapted by global communities to embrace children with Down Syndrome and work on their social educational development and consider these children parallel with others.

Psychologists, Sociologists, Special Education Educators, Scholars, Students and other civil society members attended this ceremony and appreciated this effort. Introductory speech was given by Dr. Munir Moosa Sadruddin Professor SMIU.

M M Alam

M. M. Alam is a Pakistan-based working journalist since 1981.
