Masked Rao Anwar – alleged extra-judicial killer – arrested as he appears at Supreme Court !

ISLAMABAD: Absconding ex-SSP Rao Anwar, who is suspected of Naqeebullah Mehsud’s murder, appeared before the court today wearing a mask. His vehicle was allowed to enter the boundary of the court. 

Presently IGP Sindh is also present in the court. According to his advocate he appeared voluntarily before court. 

Court reportedly asked Rao Anwar that he himself used to arrest people and posed to be very brave where he had remained all these days.

Court also said that the way he had sent letters was inappropriate and that he had not done any favors by appearing before the court. 

When Rao Anwar said that his life was in danger court asked why he did not trust the court’s assurance that he will be protected. Court has ordered to make his security  

Court has ordered that he be taken to Karachi.  Meanwhile, court ordered unfreezing of Rao Anwar’s bank accounts, passport and NIC. However his name will remain in the ECL. 

A 5-member JIT, headed by Additional IG Aftab Pathan, will be investigating the arrested alleged killer-cop. Murdered Naqeebullah’s father said  he trusted that Supreme Court would deliver justice. 

It is pertinent to mention here that according to police records from 2011 till the murder of Naqeebullah Rao Anwar has killed more than 444 people in 745  ‘encounters’ but miraculously not a single policemen was ever hit by a bullet.
