MD PTV’s appointment challenged in IHC

ISLAMABAD: An office bearer of Employees’ Union of Pakistan Television today moved a petition to Islamabad High Court (IHC),  challenging the appointment of PTV Managing Director.

Petitioner Pervaiz Akhter Bhatti (Secretary General All  PTV Employees and Workers Union CBA) had prayed the court to declare the appointment of PTV Board of Directors  (BoD) dated March 10, 2018, a violation of the law.

He also requested the court to set aside the notification regarding giving an Acting Charge of MD PTV to Arshad Khan and declare the steps taken by him during his tenure as illegal. The petition, filed by Ali Nawaz Khokher Advocate, had nominated different officials as respondents.
