KARACHI: Muslims in Pakistan are celebrating Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (birthday of Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH) on Tuesday (17th September, 2024) which had been declared a public holiday.
The day commenced with thirty-one-gun salute in the Federal Capital and twenty-one-gun salutes in provincial capitals. Special prayers were offered after the Fajr for unity of the Muslim Ummah and Pakistan’s progress and prosperity.
TV Channels are presenting various programs to highlight the Seerat and teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH). Radio Pakistan is also broadcasting the proceedings of National Seerat Conference which is being held in the Capital.
Ulema and Khateeb are delivering lectures on the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Mahafil-e-Milad are also being organised all over Pakistan. Religious, political, social organisations and educational institutions have also chalked out a number of events.
Citoyens, who have coloured the cities across Pakistan green by means of electric bulbs as well as paper/cloth flags, are happily marching on the roads to celebrate the day. While state of affairs are being monitored from control rooms, Police and LEAs have been deployed to avoid any untoward incident.
