New timings of shops, marriage halls to be effective from November 1st: Sindh govt




KARACHI: Sindh Government has stepped up efforts to implement its decisions to shut down shops by 07.00 pm and marriage halls by 10.00 pm by November 1st, said a government official on Tuesday.

According to details, Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah chaired a meeting of the provincial cabinet here to discuss implementation of the government decisions.

Shah ordered the concerned authorities to implement the decision by November 1st.

According to government sources, government has advised the hall owners to restrict the wedding meals to one rice dish, one curry dish along with one sweet dish.

“The cabinet in its review meeting agreed on shutting down marriage halls by 10.00 pm,” said the official.

“The cabinet discussed the decision of closing down markets and shops according to the new timings but also decided to implement it after taking the traders and market official into confidence,” he added.
