KARACHI: Director General (DG) Sindh Rangers, Major General Bilal Akbar on Friday has announced that the Rangers have started a comprehensive operation against militants in the interior Sindh.
The Sindh operation is a part of the National Action Plan (NAP).
In a statement issued by Sindh Rangers, DG Rangers said that the terrorists would be eliminated from every part of the Sindh province.
“Sindh operation has been successfully launched in remote areas of Sindh where we believe terror activities are being designed and handled,” he said adding, the operation has been working according to the National Action Plan which aims at eliminating terrorism from the country.
General Akbar was of the view that without dealing with militants and terrorist groups across the province, peace in Karachi could not be maintained.
“Miscreants from South Punjab have been found involved in criminal activities in Karachi with their hideouts in the interior regions of the province. They are keeping abductees in upper and lower parts of Sindh,” said the DG Sindh Rangers.
