Pak-Saudia proud of profound relations: Dr Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad

ISLAMABAD: Saudi Information and Culture Minister Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad Friday said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were proud of their long-standing friendship and unity and Saudi Arabia had always supported Pakistan for its stability, prosperity, and development.
Saudi Arabia will continue to promote these relations with the new government, he expressed these views in an informal conversation after a dinner hosted by Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Bin Said Al-Malki at his residence.
The Saudi minister said media of both the countries were playing a key role in the promotion of bilateral relations and further development would be seen in the media sector in future.
In response to a question, he said that he was very pleased to visit Pakistan and added he is grateful to the government of Pakistan as well as their people for their warmth for Saudi Arabia. He said besides media, Saudi Arabia was keen to promote cooperation with Pakistan in the fields of trade and economic development and the recent visit of Saudi trade minister to Pakistan was a part of that series.
In response to another question, Saudi Minister of Information said that all the media houses were playing their positive role in promoting brotherhood between the two countries. And during his visit, more possibilities will be reviewed to increase the cooperation in the media sector and they believe that the Pakistani media would continue its positive role in that regard.
He said that a series of political and economic reforms have been started in Saudi Arabia, which would help in achieving the goals of vision 2030. Saudi Information Minister expressed his good wishes for the people of Pakistan and the government.
