PIA to resume flights to UK from 14th Aug

ISLAMABAD: In order to cater to public demand PIA has hired a plane on wet lease from Portugal’s airline to partially resume flights to UK using PIA call sign and slots.

Sources informed that national flag carrier will be operating flights with a twin-jet, wide-bodied, middle haul A330 that can carry some 300 voyagers. According to PIA, the A-330 configuration would offer economy and business classes. In both cases social distancing would be observed.

On the Independence Day of Pakistan (14th August) PK-9702, would depart for Islamabad from Manchester with 250 passengers. Next day PIA flight PK-9785 will depart from Islamabad for London for which all seats had been booked.

Passengers will be allowed to carry baggage weighing 45kg. Travelers are expecting that due to competition given by PIA other airlines would bring the fares down.
