ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Monday chaired a high-level meeting to discuss national and international security issues.
According to a statement issued by PM house, the meeting discussed the matters related to the internal security of the country in which, DG ISPR Lt-Gen Asim Bajwa gave the briefing about the intelligence-based operations launched in Punjab.
“In the meeting, national military and civil leadership agreed to continue IBOs across the country to root out the menace of terrorism,” read the statement.
Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Finance minister Ishaq Dar and DG ISI Lt. General Rizwan Akhtar were present at the meeting.
