PM orders crackdown against Sindh’s benami property holders

KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered a crackdown against individuals who own benami properties in Sindh province.

In this regard, Chief Secretary Sindh has summoned an important meeting of the Commissioners and the Deputy Commissioners today to form a strategy.

It was also learnt that lists are being prepared to identify individuals holding benami properties in the province.

On August 23, the premier had directed all the DCs and development authorities to identify benami properties in their respective areas within one month

In a letter issued by the PM office, all the DCs were assigned the task to detect benami proprieties in their respective areas. They were directed to submit their reports within 30 days.
