PML-N has ‘nothing to do with Captain Safdar’s statements’ against Ahmadis, clarifies Abbasi

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has clarified that neither he nor Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was responsible for Captain Safdar’s opinions regarding Ahmadi community.

“He [Safdar] should not have made statements against the Ahmadi community in the National Assembly,” Abbasi said in an interview.

“No one in the party would agree with him,” he added.

The premier also assured that party will deal with the PML-N leader for his remarks against the Ahmadis.

“Captain Safdar, being the son-in-law of former prime minister, should not have behaved in that manner,” he said.

Abbasi further went on to add that Safdar does not represent the government’s policy and he will have to furnish an explanation.

“Any measure which causes instability in the country is deemed as a conspiracy,” he concluded.
