ISLAMABAD: Till the beginning of October, 2024 twenty-six poliovirus cases have been identified during this year in Pakistan that has failed to contain the crippling jinn due to fanatics and porous borders.

Administrating anti-polio drug too is a life-threatening job in Pakistan: For instance, on 11th of September, 2024, unidentified gunmen shot a polio worker and his police escort dead.

The attack took place near Pak-Afghan border insinuating that the gunmen could be terrorists of IS based in Afghanistan. IS has claimed an IED attack on polio team just before that.

Sadly, a polio worker was gang-raped in the Detha village of Jacobabad on 11th of September, 2024. DNA of one the suspects has matched while Police are attempting to nab the others.
