ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan, while taking a jibe at international community for not saying a word on human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir, said that the powerful countries remained silent on the issue because of their trading interests with India.

The premier took to Twitter to post his comments on the Indian-occupied Kashmir issue following the ongoing curfew in the valley. He said that the curfew imposed by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in occupied Kashmir for over 100 days has shown the fascist mindset of Modi government.

“Shows the fascist mindset of the Indian govt’s RSS ideology that has continued the siege of IOJK for over 100 days, subjecting Kashmiris to the worst violation of their human rights while the powerful countries remain silent bec of their trading interests,” PM Imran wrote on Twitter.

He also tagged an article of Middle East Eye (MEE) which said: “India consul general in United States calls for ‘Israeli model’ in Kashmir” and expressed his concerns that India was now trying to follow the footsteps of Israel and change the status of IoK.

“Modi was not only following the ideology of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), it was also acting like Israel in Palestine to completely occupy the valley and start his own rule,” he said.

The comments by the premier came a day after recent act of state terrorism by Indian troops. The brutal force opened fire on mourners and martyred three youth in Pulwama district during a cordon and search operation.

The killings triggered massive anti-India protests across the district.
