Probing the matter of Cobra in Haleem’s cell

KARACHI: In order to decipher the mystery of a Cobra’s emergence in the SIU cell of TI’s VP in Sindh & Leader of the Opposition in Provincial Assembly, Haleem Adil Sheikh, AIG Ghulam Nabi Memon has constituted a committee.
It may be recalled that Sheikh has claimed that the Provincial Govt. had attempted to assassinate him by releasing a 4-feet-long poisonous reptile in his cell: “This was done on the directives of Pakistan Peoples Party Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.”
According to him he managed to kill the poisonous creature. Sheikh was arrested over charges of interfering in PS-88’s by-poll process by roaming with armed guards in the area banned for lawmakers. He was detained in the SIU Center in Saddar.

According to details the probing committee is headed by DIG CIA Arif Hanif. He is being assisted by Korangi SSP Faisal Abdullah Chachar and City SSP Sarfaraz Nawaz. The members of the committee have already inspected the cell and the surrounding areas. A forensic carried out on the remains of the snake would enable the investigators decipher the mystery.
