PTI now decides to hold Faisalabad rally on May 20th

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday announced to postpone Faisalabad rally which was scheduled on Sunday, May 08. Later PTI said that the same would now be held on May 20th.

According to PTI Spokesman, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan decided to postpone the rally due to the annoying incident of women harassment during PTI’ 20th foundation day rally at F-9 Park.

“Imran Khan is much annoyed over the incident and ordered senior party leaders to investigate,” said the spokesman adding that PTI Chairman decided to postpone the rally till the investigation gets completed.

On the day of PTI’s 20th foundation day rally, panic was created when some unknown people tried to harass women participants of the rally. The news had gone viral when someone posted a video of the incident on social media.

Taking immediate action, PTI Chairman slammed the workers and ordered senior party leaders to investigate the incident from various aspects including the role of police.

Khan said the elements involved in the incident would be given exemplary punishment even if they are affiliated to PTI.

At first, PTI leaders claimed that the people involved in attacking the women were the miscreants of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

“Imran Khan has lost trust in Punjab police after attack by PML-N miscreants,” said the spokesman adding that those miscreants were supported by Punjab police.

“PML-N tried to create the disturbance through a conspiracy in the rally as it is afraid of the popularity of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. People involved in the incident will have to face the trial,” spokesman added.
