Punjab govt to present 100-day performance today

LAHORE: The Punjab government will present its 100-day performance at a ceremony to be held at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, here on Saturday.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will be the chief guest on the occasion.

It is pertinent to mention here that two days back Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar presided over a high-level meeting at his office in which he reviewed the performance of different departments with regard to 100-day plan.

The performance of Social Welfare, Mines and Minerals, Population Welfare, Law, Transport, Human Rights & Minorities Affairs, Home and Police departments and others was reviewed in detail.

The provincial ministers and the secretaries in detail briefed about the 100-day performance of their respective departments.

The chief minister raised various questions regarding 100-day performance and future roadmap.

“Performance is directly linked with the benefits provided to the people and departments should initiate such steps which can directly benefit the people,” he added.

He said that work was done continuously during the first 100 days as improving the living standards of common man was a top priority of the government.

While highlighting Punjab government’s major achievements Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, in a press conference held few days back, said, “We have provided roof to the people sleeping under the bridges and introduced useful projects like ‘Panagah’ so that these shelter-less people may not face any difficulty in the winter season.”

He said open door policy had been adopted in the government offices and added that serving the people was among the priorities of PTI government and under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan all out efforts would be made to ensure prosperity in real sense.
