Road accident leaves eight dead in DI Khan

D I KHAN: Ten people lost their lives and ten other got severely injured  as a  passenger van collided with a trailer near Ramak area here on Monday night (25th November, 2019).

6 killed in 823 accidents across Punjab in the last 24h

LAHORE: At least six people were killed and 939 sustained injuries in 823 road accidents in Punjab during the last 24 hours.
As many as 552 seriously injured were shifted to different hospitals, while 387 with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by the rescue medical teams, said a spokesman for Rescue-1122 here on Sunday.
The analysis showed that 386 drivers, 34 juvenile drivers, 139 pedestrians and 420 passengers were among the victims of the road crashes. The statistics showed that 185 accidents were reported in Lahore, which affected 187 persons placing the provincial capital at top of the list, followed by 76 in Faisalabad with 91 victims and at third Multan with 60 accidents and 70 victims.
As many as 638 motorcycles, 125 rickshaws, 86 cars, 33 vans, 13 buses, 23 trucks and 114 other vehicles and slow-moving carts were involved in the accidents.app

Seven school children killed in road accident

NAROWAL: 23-year-old rickshaw driver Muhaddas and seven pupils (from different schools) lost their lives when a dumper turned turtle burying the victims under tons of gravel it was carrying. 

According to details those children who passed away in the tragic accident included six-year-old Ahmad, six-year-old Farhan, nine-year-old Yaseen, 14-year-old Nisha, 17-year-old Kinza, Ahmad and  Aemin. Seven other kids,  who got critically injured,  are being treated.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has expressed deep sorrow and grief over loss of precious lives in the accident.

Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway accident claims 12 lives, driver was using mobile

ISLAMABAD: Twelve passengers lost lives and 45 got injured when their bus plying on the Peshawar-Islamabad motorway overturned near Bahtar Interchange here today.

According to sources the accident occurred as driver not only was constantly using cell phone but was also doing drugs while driving. The accident happened when he  lost control of the vehicle attempting to overtake a trailer.

Bodies were taken to medical facilities in Taxila, Hassanabdal, Wah Cantt and Rawalpindi. The deceased belonged to Lahore, Nankana Sahib and Swat.
