JEDDAH: Following the meetings of PM Imran Khan with the Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman here today the two countries had reaffirmed the commitment to further strengthen their brotherly terms.
The two countries have reiterated the resolve to further intensify bilateral trade, energy, investment and people to people contacts. PM told about the situation in Indian occupied Kashmir and grave risks posed to peace and security following Modi government’s move to strip IoK of its special autonomous status.
Imran Khan highlighted the importance of lifting curfew immediately, respect for the rights and freedoms of the populace of IoK and implementation of the UN resolutions. He also condemned the attacks on ARAMCO facilities.
Commenting on the Kashmir issue the Saudi leadership reiterated its steadfast support and solidarity for the cause.
From Jeddah PM reached Madinah where he was received by the Deputy Governor Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Faisal, Saudi officials, Deputy Consul General of Pakistan Shaiq Bhutto, and officers of the Pakistani diplomatic post.
Later Imran Khan visited the Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH) where the hujra was specially unlocked for him. He offered Namaz-e-Maghrib at Masjid-e-Nabvi.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan left here for Saudi Arabia on a two-day official visit today.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will discuss with the Saudi leadership the various dimensions of the grave situation in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir,arising from India’s illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August 2019.
Kashmir Issue: PM Imran Khan discusses IoK situation with Saudi, UAE FMs
The premier had earlier discussed the Indian Occupied Kashmir Issue with Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al Jubeir and United Arab Emirates’ Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Highlighting Pakistan’s deep concern over the worsening human rights and humanitarian situation in Occupied Kashmir (because of the month-long complete lockdown and communications blackout in the occupied territory) PM told the visitors that Indian actions were a clear violation of UN Security Council resolutions and international law.
Informing that there was a possibility of a false flag operation to divert world’s attention from India’s illegal actions and intensified repression of Kashmiris, PM urged Saudi Arabia and UAE to play an important role to resolve the matter.
Reaffirming the strategic significance of the relationship of KSA and UAE with Pakistan, the dignitaries stated that they were visiting Islamabad at the direction of their leadership. They also acknowledged Pakistan’s role and efforts in promoting and maintaining regional peace and stability.
