CTD nabs Al-Qaeda leader Amin-ul-Haq (an Afghan national)

GUJRAT: CTD Punjab has arrested a senior Al-Qaeda leader (an Afghan national), identified as) Amin-ul-Haq from Sarai Alamgir town here on Thursday (18th July, 2024).

CTD states: “In a major operation carried out by CTD Punjab, senior Al-Qaeda leader, Amin-ul-Haq, a close associate of Osama-bin-Laden (since 1996), has been arrested during an intelligence-based operation.”

Amin-ul-Haq, who was spotted in Afghanistan in 2021, carried a Pakistani CNIC harboring addresses of Lahore and Haripur.

Furthermore, according to the website of UNSC, the 64-year-old Amin-ul-Haq was born in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan (in 1960) and was designated as a terrorist on 25th day of January, 2001.
