Sindh govt announces public holiday on Holi

KARACHI: The Sindh government Saturday issued a notification to declare March 24 as a public holiday to mark the occasion of Holi.

The move comes days after the National Assembly adopted a resolution to take steps to declare Holi, Diwali and Easter as holidays for minorities.

Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-N MNA Dr. Ramesh Kumar moved the resolution requesting for national holidays on Diwali, Holi and Easter.

However, no notification was issued by the federal interior ministry officially declaring holidays on Holi, Diwali and Easter.
