Suicide attack at FC HQ claims 3 lives

PESHAWAR: A suicide attack, carried out at Federal Constabulary (FC) HQ here on Monday (24th Nov, 2025) morning, has claimed 3 lives and injured eleven others.

While one succeeded in exploding his jacket (resulting into death of three FC men discharging duties at that main gate), two others were neutralised by LEA personnel during an exchange of fire. Peshawar CCPO told NPTV that following the first explosion, two militants attempted to enter the batiment but since all three were moving by shank’s mare, they were easily gunned down by FC personnel.

According to concerned authorities the target of the militants were those scores of FC personnel who were taking part in the morning drills. LEA personnel are positive that by means of DNA tests they will be able to identify the attackers. All injured civilian and FC personnel are being treated at Lady Reading Hospital where they are in stable condition.

Militants attack Security Forces incessantly, who too keep on responding. For instance, on 17th October, a suicide attack on a military camp in Mir Ali area here had been foiled by security forces. At first a suicide bomber crashed an IED-laden vehicle against the wall of the military camp. Following that three terrorists attempted to enter the batiment. But all three were prevented from entering and were neutralised.

Sixteen militants, who were trying to enter Ghulam Khan Kallay in N. Waziristan through Pak-Afghan border on the morning of 23rd March, had been neutralised by security forces. According to details Pakistani security forces engaged the militants attempting to infiltrate and after an exchange of fire, shot sixteen of them dead. It is pertinent to mention here that Islamabad believes that Afghanistan-based TTP militants infiltrate and attack targets in Pakistan. It has repeatedly asked Interim Taliban Government in Kabul to contain terrorists’ safe heaven and ensure effective border control.

On 11th of January, nine terrorists had been neutralized by LEAs during a couple of IBOs in the Dosali and Esham areas here. According to details, while six militants were killed in the first IBO carried out in Dosali, three more were gunned down in the second IBO conducted in Esham area of North Waziristan. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the slain terrorists, who were involved in in the murder of civilians as well as LEA personnel.
