BANNU: Monday (15th July, 2024) morning (4.40 am) 10 terrorists attacked and tried to reach the supply depot in Cantt area here, but when LEA personnel retaliated and prevented them from entering the premises, they rammed an explosive-laden vehicle on the perimeter wall.

Due to the suicide bombing a wall collapsed claiming lives of Naib Subedar Muhammad Shehzad, 44; Havaldar Zil-e-Hussain, 39; Havaldar Shahzad Ahmed, 28; Sepoy Ashfaq Hussain Khan, 30; Sepoy Sobhan Majeed, 22; Sepoy Imtiaz Khan, 30; Sepoy Arsalan Aslam, 26, belonging to the Pakistan Army as well as Lance Naik Sabz Ali, 34, of the Frontier Constabulary.

In the ensuing operation, LEA personnel engaged the terrorists and neutralized all ten of them. It is pertinent to mention here since TTP has end the truce, Afghanistan-based militants have increased their terrorist activities in Pakistan.
