PTI’s year in power: Today opposition parties observe ‘youm-e-siah’ by holding rallies!

KARACHI: While PTI is observing youm-e-tashakur all over the country today on the first anniversary of 2018 general elections, opposition is marking the very day as youm-e-siah (Black Day).

PM’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan took to the twitter to claim that aspirations of people and twenty three year old political struggle of Imran Khan bore fruit in the general elections last year… thus  25th July is the day of expression of public opinion as on this day the people gave a strong support to the mission of purging the country of corruption. According to her those who used the politics for loot and plunder are being brought to justice. She said the nation has rejected their dynastic politics.

The same day is being observed by the  joint opposition  as youm-e-siah by organizing rallies in all major cities of Pakistan. PML-N’s VP who left for Quetta to speak to a rally took to the twitter to hold:

PML-N Vice President while addressing supporters here at Ayub Stadium today said that Balochistan Awami Party was imposed upon the people of Balochistan while fake cases were made against true representatives of the people. She said every day under the rule of PTI government was a black day because people were suffering from high inflation and the loss of their businesses. She said not only thousands of people attending her public gatherings were arrested TV channels were warned against airing her speeches. Chairman PMAP Mahmood Khan Achakzai and a number of opposition leaders also joined her rally.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while addressing a public gathering at Bagh-e-Jinnah here called 25th of July 2018 as the worst day in the history of the country when a ‘selected government had been imposed on the nation.

He said that the democracy was in danger in Pakistan where presently not the politicians but the politics itself was being targeted. Instead of unemployment unemployed were being targeted; Instead of providing houses to poor their abodes were being targeted; not the trade but the traders were being targeted.

Bilawal Bhutto said that the mandate of Karachi had been robbed. He said a PM who does not have the authority to change his ministers or make the budget could only be called selected. He said the fraud elections nor the selected PM were acceptable to them. Declaring commencement of mutiny he said that the party has just begun and the movement would continue: “And today, we are initiating a disobedience drive against the government!”

PESHAWAR:

Addressing a public gathering here today at the Motorway Chowk on Ring Road PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal said that PTI government had ruined the economy in the very first year. Criticizing Imran Khan he recalled: “He used to say that he would commit suicide but not ask the International Monetary Fund for money”. 

Others who spoke on the occasion included Qaumi Watan Party’s Chairman Aftab Sherpao, Awami National Party’s President Asfandyar Wali Khan and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F)’s  chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman (who led the rally). 

LAHORE: 

President PML-N Shehbaz Sharif while addressing a public gathering here at Charing Cross said that the worst kind of rigging was carried out in the 2018 elections. 

He said that Imran Khan has forced the people to commit suicide though he used to say that instead of going to IMF would prefer to commit suicide. Shehbaz Sharif said that Khan Sahab had given NRO to his own sister while politicians were being targeted in the garb of Ihtesaab. 

Shehbaz Sharif claimed that today due to bad governance of PTI traders, growers  and people were with him. Addressing PM Imran Khan he said that Orange Train would operate no matter what.
