Train schedule to remain intact during PPP March: Minister

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad assured on Tuesday that the arrival and departure of the trains would remain intact and no changes in its timings in case Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would hold protest march through trains.

In his exclusive talk with private news channel, he criticized PPP Chairman for announcing march through trains and said, opposition wanted to disturb the general masses by adopting these tactics but Railway administration would not allowed them to disturb any train schedule for their protest purpose.

In order to facilitate the passengers participating in March, the minister said, Pakistan Railways ready to facilitate people participating in March with special trains if they pay fares like other passengers.

He criticized that the opposition would not create any fear for the government and both the parties including Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) should be united for protecting for their vested interests.

In past the corrupt leadership of PPP had destroyed the national economy as well as institutions of he country through adopting nepotism and other wrong policies, he said , adding, PPP not even introduced a single new train in their time.

The PTI government would fulfill all promises made with the masses and would come up to their expectations, as was made during the election campaign, he added.

He said , Peoples party should feel ashamed as they never had construct a single train track during their regime and now they are announcing countrywide March to through trains to disturb people.

He further said, present government has taken solid measures for providing best modern facilities to the masses through introducing new trains and furthermore we would also introduce more trains for the citizens in future as well.

He vowed that citizens would be able to enjoy world class facilities at railway stations in coming days.
Minister for Railway also planned to visit Sindh through special train , he added.
