LONDON: Ten Downing Street’s spokeswoman has informed here today that after experiencing mild symptoms yesterday (Friday 26th of March, 2020), PM Boris Johnson was tested for coronavirus by NHS staff at No. 10 on the personal advice of England’s Chief Medical Officer, Professor Chris Whitty,and the result was +ve.
In keeping with the guidance, the Prime Minister is self-isolating in Downing Street. He is continuing to lead the government’s response to coronavirus.

Coronavirus infects 71-year-old Prince Charles

LONDON: 71-year-old heir to the British throne tested positive for Coronavirus.
Clarence House statement held: “The Prince of Wales has tested positive for Coronavirus. He has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual.
“It is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks.”
Prince of Wales was tested on 23rd of March and got the results on 24th. Prince and his wife The Duchess of Cornwall Camilla (who tested negative) are presently self-isolating at Scotland home.
Coronavirus: London marathon postponed

LONDON: Most of the major sports events all over the world have been postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, including London Marathon that was scheduled to be held on 26th of April.
According to details now the London Marathon will be held on 4th of October, 2020. It is pertinent to mention here that it is the first time London Marathon has been postponed since its launch in 1981.
Event director Hugh Brasher commenting on the development said: “The world is in an unprecedented situation, grappling with a global pandemic of Covid-19, and public health is everyone’s priority”.
London Marathon organizers informed that every runner with a marathon place will be eligible for the new date.
The Manchester Marathon, scheduled for 5th April, has also been postponed. Brighton Marathon, due to take place on 19th April, has been rescheduled for 20th September.
Coronavirus: London Book Fair cancelled, James Bond 007 affected too

LONDON: 25,000 authors, publishers, agents and an enormous number of aficionados will not be able to attend the world’s biggest book fair next week here as it has been postponed due to the looming specter of Coronavirus Epidemic.
As major publishers refused to attend, organizers Reed Exhibitions has today announced that the London Book Fair 2020, scheduled to take place at Olympia, London, from 10th to 12th March would be cancelled following the escalation of COVID-19 Coronavirus in Europe: “It is with reluctance that we have taken the decision not to go ahead with this year’s event.”
Meanwhile, the release of No Time To Die featuring Daniel Craig for the last time as 007, that had been due for release on 3rd of April has been put back by seven months due to panic that has gripped the world. It will not come out on 25th of November, 2020. According to producers they had moved the release of No Time To Die after careful consideration and thorough evaluation of the global theatrical marketplace.
