US diplomats attempt to play cricket in Lahore

LAHORE: The US diplomats from the Walled City, Capital, Port City and Peshawar converged here on Saturday (27th April, 2024) to participate in a fun cricket game at the Kinnaird College for Women University (KCWU) cricket grounds.

Conspicuous among others, there were Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM), Andrew Schofer, CG to the Lahore Kristin Hawkins, CG to Karachi Conrad Tribble, CG to Peshawar Shante Moore, duly attired in green.

Tribble, deciphering his cricket skills, maintained that his experience of playing baseball at high school came handy. Tribble, pointing towards popularity of baseball in his country, noted that there were many similarities in the two games.

Talking to the Media, DCM Andrew Schofer expressed his excitement and eagerness apropos learning about cricket. Schofer and Kristin Hawkins unveiled the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup countdown clock.

Americans, including CG to Peshawar Shante Moore, manifested keen interest in the game.
