LONDON: Former President of Pakistan and Co-Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari has said that he will not meet Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in London.
PM Nawaz was expected to meet Zardari in London during his visit to the UK, however, a statement quoting Zardari as saying that he will not ‘see’ Nawaz Sharif.
According to sources, the meet-up program between both political leaders was arranged by senior party leaders of both sides.
“PM Nawaz expressed the wish to meet the former President during his UK visit,” sources said.
In a message, Zardari said that PPP stands with opposition on the Panama Leaks issue and it has defined its concerns over the issue.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will leave for UK on Wednesday for medical checkup.
