Zarb-e-Azb: Shawal’s 640 sq. kms. cleared

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan military that is conducting the last phase of Operation Zarb-e-Azb has destroyed militants’ strongholds in Gurbaz, Inzarkas, Lataka, Magrotai and Mana consisting of some 640 sq. kms. area.

According to ISPR while their total infrastructure was destroyed, over 400 terrorists were killed or injured since the last phase of Zarb-e-Azb commenced in the month of February. Huge cache of arms and ammunition has also been taken into custody.

Since February, Pak-army lost eight men. Thirty-nine soldiers were wounded. In spite of poor visibility and heavy snow armed forces are continuing the final stage.
