TEHRAN: Guard‘s special unit has seized on Saturday (13th April, 2024) a container ship (Portuguese-flagged Geneva-based MSC Aries) which is owned by Israeli Billionaire Eyal Ofer’s Zodiac Group.

It has been confirmed by MSC that the vessel harbors 25 crew (out of which 17 are Indians while 2 happens to be Pakistanis).

While Guard proclaimed that the vessel would be taken into the Iranian territorial waters, Israel, accusing Iran of piracy, warned that Tehran would be responded.

A day earlier, President Joe Biden, while warning Iran not to attack Israel proclaimed: “We will help defend Israel, and Iran will not succeed.”
