On Noël (2024) eve, a Nasa spacecraft Parker Solar Probe (PSP) survived the closest-ever approach to the Sun.
According to details Parker Solar Probe, that remained out of contact for many days, sent a signal while operating 6.1 million km away from the Sun, enduring high temperatures (1400C) and radiation. Although the spacecraft is protected by a 11.5 cm thick carbon-composite shield, PSP is flirting with the heat by getting in and out fast.
By means of Parker Solar Probe, that was launched in 2018 and had swept past the burning inferno twenty-one times, humanity (that lives ninety-three million miles away from it), is attempting to learn more about the star called Sun. Interestingly, thanks to its gravitational pull, PSP is moving towards the Sun at a speed of 430,000 miles per hour.
