DATTA KHEL: Security forces neutralised 14 terrorists during an IBO carried out here Wednesday (4th June, 2025).
According to details terrorists shot at LEA personnel at security forces. During exchange of fire 14 militants were gunned down. Furthermore, operations were conducted to eliminate any of the slain terrorists’ accomplices.
Pakistan is being plagued by the menace of terrorism for quite a long time. Seven terrorists have been neutralised in two separate Intelligence-Based-Operations (IBOs) carried out in Balochistan on 3rd June, 2025.
An IBO was carried out in Mach, during which due to an intense exchange of fire, five terrorists were killed. Another IBO was conducted in Margand area of Kalat District during which two militants were shot dead. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed militants who remained actively involved in a number of terrorist activities.
It is pertinent to mention here that the militants had carried out 85 attacks in the month of May (2025) claiming lives of 50 security personnel and 50 civilians. On 31st May two people lost their lives, while many got injured when unknown terrorists detonated an IED near Nawan Killi area in Quetta.
Law and order situation in the Province of Balochistan remains unstable due to different groups of militants. For instance, 3 people died and twenty-one got injured (4 gravely) as a Police vehicle was targeted by unknown bombers on 27th March. According to sources the injured were provided treatment at the Civil Hospital’s Trauma Center.
Bomb attacks, particularly targeting LEA personnel, are carried out by terrorists after brief intervals regularly. On 15th March, a remote-controlled blast near a Balochistan ATF vehicle at Karani road claimed live of a policeman and injured six others. LEA personnel, who reached the site of explosion figured out that 3kgs of explosives were used. A remote control device was used to explode 3 kgs explosive material injuring ten (including a FC soldier) at on 28th Feb.
The target of the attack was a FC convoy. As a result of the blast one vehicle carrying FC personnel was damaged. Injured were treated at Civil Hospital’s Trauma Center. A suicide bomb attack carried out by Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) at the Railway Station Booking Office on 9th Nov, 2024, claimed 27 lives (of civilians as well as personnel of LEAs). The suicide bomber detonated 10 kgs of explosive material. His remains were sent to a lab in order to figure out the identity.
