ISLAMABAD: An 80-minute-long meeting between PM Shehbaz Sharif and CJP Qazi Faez Esa took place here at the later’s chamber on Thursday (28th March, 2024) afternoon in the presence of Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, AGP Mansoor Usman Awan and Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.

In the brainstorming rendezvous the participants endeavored to decipher the long unsolved enigma of the allegations apropos interference of ISI in the Superior Judicial affairs.

Following the huddle, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar informed Media that the government would place the letter, penned by six judges of IHC, before the federal cabinet in order to constitute an inquiry commission.

Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar maintaining that it was the government’s duty to investigate the matter thoroughly, held: “…which is why it has decided to conduct an inquiry into the issue.

“This matter will also be presented before the cabinet tomorrow, followed by the formation of a commission for investigation, with TORs to be finalized after cabinet consultation.”

Azam Nazeer Tarar informed that a retired judge would be requested to conduct the inquiry into this matter.
