MOSCOW: Commander of Russian Strategic Missile Forces Sergei Karakayev has reported to President Vladimir Putin apropos successful test-launch of Sarmat Inter-Continental Ballistic Nuclear Missile here on Tuesday (12th May, 2026).
Putin, while terming Sarmat as the most powerful strategic nuclear missile in the world, has announced that Russia would deploy it for combat duty by the end of 2026. The ICBM has been designed to deliver nuclear warheads to strike targets in US and Europe.
