KARACHI: The National Cricket Selection Committee has recalled Babar Azam (for all three formats) but dropped Sajid Khan on Wednesday (4th Dec, 2024) from the squad that will play in South Africa, saying: “We have adopted horses for courses policy to ensure squads are well-balanced and leaving out Sajid was an extremely difficult decision.”
It is pertinent to mention here that selectors, believing that S. African pitches are less spin-friendly, kept off-spinner Sajid Khan out of the squad. According to details the T-20 team will leave for South Africa on Friday (6th Dec, 2024) while ODI and Test equipes will depart for Johannesburg on 13th December. During the tour Green Shirts will play two test matches, three ODIs and three T20Is against the host.
