Cricket, Truncated 1st T20I: Australia beats Pakistan

BRISBANE CRICKET GROUND: Australian cricket team has beaten Pakistan by 29 runs in the first T20I (truncated to seven overs per side due to heavy rain and lightning) played here on Thursday (14th Nov 2024).

Glenn Maxwell scored 43 off 19 balls enabling his team to score 93/4, setting an imposing target for the visitors. Pakistan only scored 67 runs for the loss of 9 wickets as its middle-order collapsed. Babar Azam scored 3, while Skipper Mohammad Rizwan’s bat did not yield any run. 20 runs scored by Abbas off 10 balls could not prevent the great fall either.

The second T20I will be played on Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday (16th Nov). Third and Final match will be played on Hobart’s Bellerive Oval on Monday (18th Nov).
