LAHORE: Residence of Mohsin Naqvi (Caretaker CM Punjab) here was the venue where PML-N’s Shehbaz Sharif met ex president Asif Ali Zardari and ex foreign minister/PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Saturday (10th Feb, 2024) to ponder over the modus operandi of forming a coalition govt.

During the meeting Shehbaz Sharif conveyed PML-N Supremo Nawaz Sharif’s message to Zardaris apropos forming a coalition government.

According to sources during the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif called Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui (MQM Coordination Committee leader) and invited him to visit Lahore to hold a meeting.

Accepting Sharif’s invitation Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said: “We are celebrating our victory at Jinnah Ground in Azizabad on Saturday (10th Feb). The meeting would be held after that.”

Shehbaz-Zardari duo agreed to hold further meetings and endeavor jointly to form federal government.

It is pertinent to mention here that Shehbaz-Zardari meeting took place after the former was asked by Nawaz Sharif to negotiate the govt forming matter with political parties’ leaders.
