ISLAMABAD: Lt. Gen (R) Faez Hameed, who worked as DG ISI, was in contact with fifty politicians (mostly those associated with PTI).
According to Army Act he was not supposed to engage in any political activity for five years after his retirement. Nature of his links with PTI founder Imran Khan is still being probed. Attorney Salman Akram Raja warned that connecting the two would be dangerous.
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said on Wednesday (11th Dec, 2024) that Faiz Hameed and PTI Founder Imran Khan were accomplice in the crime. Earlier too he had insinuated that Lt. Gen (R) Faiz Hameed had a hand in the political vicissitudes post retirement and could be involved in the 9th May events. Ex DG ISI Lt-Gen (R) Faiz Hameed was taken into military custody on 12th August, 2024 and court martial initiated.
ISPR has stated: “Complying with the orders of SCP, a detailed court of inquiry, was undertaken by Pakistan Army, to ascertain correctness of complaints in Top City Scandal* made against Lt Gen Faiz Hameed (R). Consequently, appropriate disciplinary action has been initiated against Lt Gen Faiz Hameed (Retd), under provisions of Pakistan Army Act.
“In addition, multiple instances of violation of Pakistan Army Act post-retirement have also been established. The process of Field General Court Martial has been initiated and Lt Gen Faiz Hameed (Retd) has been taken into military custody,”
In its written order the SCP stated on 14th November: “The allegations are of an extremely serious nature, and if true, undoubtedly would undermine the reputation of the federal government, the armed forces, ISI and Pakistan Rangers, therefore, they cannot be left unattended.”
It may be recalled that a high-level inquiry committee headed by a Major General (formed on Wednesday 17th April, 2024) was to probe the allegations levelled by a builder against Lt-Gen (R) Faiz Hameed that as the chief of ISI he had misused his powers against him and his family members.
It was alleged that Ex DG ISI Lt-Gen (R) Faiz Hameed had planned a raid on the house of Moeez Khan (owner of Top City Housing Scheme).

Dear Beloved,
My name is Mr. Andrew Walters. I have been battling cancer for the past four years, and my condition has continued to deteriorate. As I face these circumstances, I am seeking a trustworthy individual to help fulfil a final charitable wish that is deeply important to me.
I wish to entrust you with the oversight of a humanitarian project valued at $25,000,000, intended to support the less privileged. I understand that receiving such a message from someone you have never met may seem unusual, and perhaps even concerning, but I have reached a point where I must rely on goodwill and integrity.
I am in need of a reliable confidant who can assist in ensuring that this act of generosity is carried out honourably. If you are willing and able to support this cause, your assistance would be sincerely appreciated.
Due to my health, time is of great importance. I kindly request your prompt response.
