PARIS: Jean-Marie Le-Pen, who founded the French Far-Right National Front Party (in 1972) died Tuesday (7th Jan, 2025) after remaining for several weeks in an intensive care facility, at the age of 96.
Le Pen, who infamously denied the Holocaust as a detail of WW-II history, was anti-immigrants and a racist.

PARIS: National Front Party, that is now known as National Rally (that happens to be the largest single entity in the French lower house), is led by his daughter Marine Le Pen since 2011.

National Rally’s 29-year-old Chief, Jordan Bardella, took to the X to claim that the deceased had always served the country: “As a soldier in the French army in Indochina and Algeria, as a tribune of the people in the National Assembly and the European Parliament, he always served France and defended its identity and sovereignty.”
