NEW DELHI: India accorded Manmohan Singh, who steered India’s economy through a period of 9% growth in 1990s and sealed nuclear deal with the USA, a state funeral on Saturday (28th Dec 2024).
The honours were led by the President and the PM of India along with top Civil and Military bureaucrats. Former PM of India Manmohan Singh, an economist who held office from 2004 to 2014, called it a day Thursday (26th Dec, 2024) at the age of 92, following which India declared 7-day mourning.
