Five benefits of consuming olives!

KARACHI:  We all love consuming olives. Be it on salads, sandwiches and your favorite pizza. But do you know that this fruit is also considered good for your health?

It has been discovered that olives are stuffed by means of copper, iron, fiber and vitamin E. Olives are enriched with some phytonutrients such as Simple Phenols, Terpenes (including secoiridoids and triterpenes), Flavones, Hydroxycinnamic acids, Anthocyanidins, Flavonols, Hydroxybenzoic acids, Hydroxyphenylacetic acids that are absorbed in our body and therefore, considered healthy.

Following are some of the benefits of ingesting olives:

HEALTHY HEART: Olives chip-in to slash the menace of having heart sickness by reducing blood levels and LDL cholesterol as it is loaded with monounsaturated fatty acids.

SOOTHED PAIN: Researchers here have located a number of anti-inflammatory properties in olives. Due to this, it also assists in releasing twinge.

GOOD SKIN AND HAIR: Hair fall out because of lack of fatty acids and antioxidants. By in-taking olives we can get-over this condition. It is also considered good for human skin.

BOOMED HEMOGLOBIN LEVEL: Olives are rich in iron that aids in increasing hemoglobin level that holds oxygen from the lungs to the body’s tissues and returns carbon dioxide from the tissues back to the lungs.

CONTROLLED BLOOD PRESSURE: Scientists here have suggested consuming a cup of olives in order to manage blood pressure.

Besides, health experts here have urged people to prepare food in olive oil and consume extra virgin olive oil by pouring it on the salads in order to live a long and healthy life span.
