Hezbollah confirms death of Hassan Nasrallah in Israeli air strike

BEIRUT: Hezbollah has confirmed the death of its commander Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli air strike on a multi-storied building here.

Israel Defense Forces (IDF), proclaiming the death of Hezbollah Commander, took to the X (Twitter) on Saturday (28th Sept, 2024) to state: “Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorise the world!”

Israeli army, stated that Hassan Nasrallah and many other Hezbollah’s southern front commanders were neutralized: “The message is clear: We will reach everyone who threatens the citizens of Israel in the north, in the south, and on more distant fronts.”

Israeli Air Force had carried out a precise attack using 85 bunker busters (weighing one ton each) on Hezbollah’s underground HQ in the southern suburb of Beirut, to neutralise the chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah here on Friday (27th September, 2024).

Bombardment had transformed six buildings into rubble and left dozens dead and wounded. Israeli military claimed that Hezbollah’s headquarters were embedded under residential buildings.

On Friday Israel killed 25 Lebanese by means of aerial bombing. Since Monday 700 people lost their lives in Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Israeli tanks could be seen near the border of Lebanon.

It is pertinent to mention here that US had designated militant group Hezbollah a terrorist organisation.
