Interestingly, Tehran Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam had deleted his post on X by means of which he had earlier informed: “Despite skepticism of Iranian public opinion due to repeated ceasefire violations by Israeli regime … Iranian delegation arrives tonight in Islamabad for serious talks based on 10 points proposed by Iran.”
Leader of the American delegation Vice President JD Vance, told that President Donald Trump had given him clear guidelines for the parleys: “As the president of the United States said, if the Iranians are willing to negotiate in good faith, we’re certainly willing to extend the open hand. If they’re going to try to play us, then they’re going to find the negotiating team is not that receptive.”

It is pertinent to mention here that US reckons Iran’s proposal as a workable basis on which to bargain. Key demands of Iran are: Cessation of Hostilities; Guarantee against future aggression; Withdrawal of US troops; Removal of Sanctions; and Control of Strait of Hormuz.
