Iran Launches 200 Ballistic Missiles At Tel Aviv

TEHRAN: Iran launched two hundred ballistic missiles at Tel Aviv on Tuesday (1st of October, 2024).

It is pertinent to mention here that US had warned Israel hours before the attack that Iran was preparing to launch missiles. Meanwhile, US warned that a direct attack on Tel Aviv would carry “severe consequences for Iran.”

Military spokesman of Israel, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, terming the direct attack from Iran as the most significant escalation since last year’s Gaza conflict, said: “We urge everyone to heed the warnings and take shelter immediately.” Israel’s ten million citoyens took shelter inside the bunkers, as sirens were being heard across the country at 19.30 local time and 16.30 GMT on Tuesday.

200 missiles did not kill even one Israeli:

Jake Sullivan, the US national Security Adviser, while terming the attack as ineffective pointed out on Tuesday that no one was killed in the attack: “This is a significant escalation by Iran, a significant event, and it is equally significant that we were able to step up with Israel and create a situation in which, no one was killed in this attack in Israel, so far as we know at this time.”

Iran terms the attack a legitimate response:

Taking responsibility for the direct attack, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had fired dozens of missiles at Israel. Iranian mission in UN, terming the attack a legitimate response, stated: “Should the Zionist regime dare to respond or commit further acts of malevolence, a subsequent and crushing response will ensue. Regional states and the Zionists’ supporters are advised to part ways with the regime.”
