Is France set to have it’s 1st Far-Right Govt since WWII?

PARIS: It seems that France is set to have its first Far-Right government since WWII the way voters acted in the first round of a snap parliamentary polls held Sunday (30th June, 2024).

French polls first round:

Though for decades French voters rejected National Rally, its leader Marine Le Pen and her father, Macron’s centrist alliance faced defeat in European elections in the month of June, 2024.

Probably, the inhabitants of the Hexagon finally want eurosceptic, anti-immigrant party to win and govern: “We are going to win an absolute majority,” said Marine Le Pen.

The world will have to wait till the end of polling on 7th of July, 2024 to find who gains majority in the 577-seat Parliament.
