MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has confirmed that his daughter Sara Ali Khan was working in filmmaker Karan Johar’s new venture, saying he would be more than happy if Karan gives a break to his daughter.
Rumours have been swelling for months over Sara Ali Khan’s Bollywood debut with Punit Malhotra’s Student of the Year 2 – a sequel to the 2012 hit film that launched Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra in the industry. Karan Johar will produce the movie that stars Tiger Shroff in the lead role.

“I would love Sara to be launched by him [Karan Johar]. He is one of the best that we have,” Saif said in an interview.

The Phantom actor added, “I am very happy she is working with Karan because I think he is brilliant with newcomers and he will launch her correctly. He is a very intelligent and a passionate filmmaker and he understands films. I am very pleased that she is with him”.
Sara’s mother Amrita Singh and Tiger’s father Jackie Shroff worked in four films together and now, their children will be working together.
