Napoleon Festival on Sun 5th Dec, at Paris

PARIS: Napoleon Festival (first edition) will take place (during Napoleon’s bicentenary year) here on Sunday 5th of December, 2021 in partnership with the City of Paris.

This Festival is meant to celebrate Napoleon through Film Screenings, Conference, Performance, Prize-Giving-Ceremony in the elegant setting of the Cinema Club de l’Etoile.Napoleon Festival Created by baritone and producer David Serero, this Festival presents for its first year the screening of two legendary films dedicated to Emperor Napoleon: Austerlitz  by Abel Gance and Waterloo by Sergei Bondarchuk, in a fully restored version.

This Festival provides the cinema aficionados a unique opportunity to see these two films on Napoleon on a large screen to admire the cinematographic reconstructions of these two legendary battles. (The Festival welcomes new filmmakers but also screenplays through filmfreeway.)

There will also be a Conference titled Napoleon et le Cinema, with one of the world’s most authentic specialists on Napoleon David Chanteranne.

Napoleonic Songs, Napoleon’s War Speech, and love letters to Josephine performed by baritone David Serero are other key features of the Festival.

During the Prize-Giving-Ceremony Napoleon Festival Prizes will be awarded to several personalities such as Christian Clavier, Jean Tulard, Thierry Lentz, Jean-Pierre Osenat, and David Chanteranne.
